On the balance of probabilities, females will be indirectly aggressive more often than directly aggressive.
On the balance of probabilities, males will be directly aggressive more often than indirectly aggressive.
One source i discovered reveals that once indirect aggression is accounted for, then the sources observations was that females are MORE aggressive than males, but are more likely to not get caught for their indirect aggression is quite difficult to observe.
One example well know in teaching circles is that some girls will choose to lie or gossip, or backstab as means for them to express their aggression. Boys on the other hand are clearly aggressive to the other, and thus are far more likely to be observed in their aggressive behaviour.
