I read a few pages of this History to my Grandfather Walter Arthur Pretty upon his death bed, straining to overcome the blaring noise of the tv adjacent. Pop never much liked tv and rarely watched it, even avoiding seeing the great Shane Warne play cricket and preferring instead to listen to the Grandstand broadcasts of cricket. I was amused to discover that pop had not actually seen much of Warnies bowling at all!
