As a bike courier i pretty much lived one third of my life for 5 years upon wheels, two wheels of my various roadie bikes in Adelaide during the 1990’s. We worked about 9 hour days and I was often the guy who’d take a day off every fortnight simply to recover from the exhaustion of such hard physical labour. I am often impressed by the determination and fortitude of people who need wheelchairs just to get around and function in this walking world we have. At my home in mount barker, we have steps to get in both front door and rear door, thus my home is not wheel chair accessible, which is indeed how much of civilisation is! Free the Wheel! Roll on.
