Branding Waffle, the farce of value adding

Please don’t confuse the action of genuine value adding through branding worthwhile products with the bulldust of simply labelling products and marketing them as more valuable because they’ve got some fancy designer label upon them. Please have a think about the value of your products, your fashionable items and your luxury items. Is that pair of shoes genuinely worth $1000? Is that new car genuinely worth $XXXXXX? Is one big screen tv actually superior to another big screen tv, or is someone just telling you it is, so that THEY can make more money off selling the product.

Think about businesses, what is fair profit, or fair revenue? How much profit is it fair for places like Coles or Woolworths to make when they sell stuff with 1000% mark up, whilst the farmer gets a pittance for their work?
