Spectators observe what the athlete appears to be, few experience genuine athleticism.
It is better to train and compete than not to train and thus regret competing.
Technique and fitness combine in athleticism, however if we must choose between them, choose fitness for that is the healthier option.
If an opponent injures you and you can’t continue competition, take the win, if you can’t continue your athletic career, hand the matter to insurance or a legal team.
Spectators judge the athletes competitive performance, not the athletes training.
The fastest athlete can be decieved and be disadvantaged by their speed, the skillful athlete can become tired and loose their accuracy, thus an athlete must be able to recognise and overcome the strengths of the opposition.
