What is the rationale behind cursing a fig tree?

Featured

Matthew 21

While returning to the city early in the morning, he felt hungry. 19 He caught sight of a fig tree by the road and went to it, but he found nothing on it except leaves, and he said to it: “Let no fruit come from you ever again.” And the fig tree withered instantly. 20 When the disciples saw this, they were amazed and said: “How is it that the fig tree withered instantly?”

Shade of a Fig Tree?

The Jesus Christ could have used his faith to make the tree bear fruit. Why not just do that?

The fig tree was following Jehovah’s programming, the fig tree has no free will and does only exactly what Jehovah has programmed it to do.

That fig tree bore no fruit because Jehovah of Armies was showing Jesus that even the Christ when hungry is short tempered and will curse a harmless fig tree rather than heal it.

Jesus the Christ died for that mistaken curse, not for our sins, Jesus died for his own failures not ours.

The insects, they sheltered under the fig tree. The birds they nest in the fig tree, they sharpen their beaks on the fig trees branches. The soil is held together by the fig trees roots. What more must that fig tree do to not be cursed by Jesus?

Will you wither, burn or grow? Or something else?
